A gentle start to our 2024 show year. In February at a lovely little Agricultural show at Rydal in the Blue Mountains Rufio was successful in winning Best Of Breed and Tiara who has come back to the ring after having her babies was awarded Best Open in Group.

Mid February we travelled up to Newcastle to the Tuggerah Lakes triple Championship shows. Here Blossom won a Best Minor Puppy in Group and also a handful of challenge points – first points towards her Championship title.

Only 1 show in March which was the spectacular Sydney Royal Dog Show. Here Bliss was awarded Best Neuter of Breed and her daughter Tiara won her class. Blossom was awarded a 2nd place in a lovely line up of Puppies.

No shows in April as we had a special delivery of babies.

May saw us take a scenic drive over the mountains to Bathurst, where Blossom was awarded a Best Puppy in Group and a 3rd place in Puppy Sweepstakes and Gamble won Best of Breed.

Later in May we took ourselves off to Cowra, it was a debut appearance for Beau & Flame, both babies did extremely well with Beau winning all 3 Baby of Breed and on the Sunday was successful winning Best Baby in Group. Blossom didn’t disappoint either winning another Best Puppy in Group. Gamble was our star winning 2 Best of Breeds along with an Intermediate in Group and a Runner up to Best in Group.

June saw us head north to Newcastle and brave the weather, Gamble was our super star winning Best in Group and an Intermediate in group. His son Beau also did well winning a Best Baby Puppy in show, two 1st places in Baby Puppy sweepstakes and 2 Best Baby Puppy in group wins. Blossom also did well winning Best Puppy in group twice.

We then enjoyed a fabulous day at The Golden Retriever Club of NSW 60th Anniversary shows under two breed specialty judges. A day that will never be forgotten, while all 6 of the dogs I entered were placed our highlights were: Blossom winning Best Puppy in Show at both shows!! Gamble was awarded Dog Challenge (best dog) in fine company, he also won Best Intermediate in Show. Rufio won both his classes & finished with Opposite Best Australian Bred in Show at both shows. The Pan was awarded Best Bred by Exhibitor in Show. Tiara also had a time to shine as she accompanied one very young lady into the Junior Handler classes where she made Harper’s dreams come true winning their Junior Handler class!!
