June started off with a bang as we entered 7 dogs into The Golden Retriever Club of NSW Inc Championship shows, with two international specialty judges. Over the two days we did very well, with all dogs being placed in their classes. The Pan was our star winning a Reserve Dog Challenge along with Best Veteran in Show on Saturday and Opposite Veteran in Show on Sunday. The gorgeous Bliss was awarded Best Neuter in Show on Saturday, very capably handled by 8 year old Harper. Venus won Best Neuter in Show on Sunday much to the delight of her owner Sheridan. Gamble was Best Australia Bred in Show and Rufio was Best Bred by Exhibitor in Show at the Saturday shows.
May started off with a trip to Newcastle, where little Dior shined. In her first weekend able to compete for those important challenge points, she won her first points to her Australian title. She was also awarded 1st place in Puppy sweepstakes twice and Best Minor Puppy in Group, twice. The following weekend we headed back to Bathurst for 6 shows, where Dior picked up another challenge. Rufio winning two Best Of Breeds.
April saw us attend only one show and it was the biggest show in Australia – the Advance Sydney Royal. Delighted when our new baby Dior won 1st prize in Baby Puppy bitch class.
March we travelled to Bathurst for two shows. Beau was successful winning 2 Best Junior in Groups along with a Best Junior in Show!! The new babies – Louis and Dior both took turns winning a Best Baby Puppy in Group with Louis also winning 1st place in Baby Puppy Sweepstakes. Blossom picked up a few more challenge points and Rufio was successful with a Best of Breed.
February saw us head north again to Newcastle for two weekends of shows. Blossom is blooming with a full coat and is successful winning a Best of Breed, Rufio picked up another 2 Best of Breeds. Beau was successful winning 2 classes in Group. Baby Louis wins a 3rd place in Baby Sweepstakes & Best Baby of Breed.
January 2025 commences with a couple of shows in Sydney and a couple in Newcastle. What a super start, with Blossom achieving the last few points to now be known as an Australian Champion!! In Newcastle Rufio picked up 4 Best of Breeds and Gamble also won a Best of Breed, his son Beau was awarded 2 Best Puppy in Groups. Our new babies – Louis & Dior made their show debut on Australia Day with little Miss Dior winning Baby Puppy of Breed. A great start to the year!!
