2022 11th Golden Retriever National 14 Photos
The 11th Golden Retriever National was first scheduled to be held in 2020, due to Covid-19 it was rescheduled not once, but twice and finally held in August 2022 at the beautiful Hawkesbury Showground in a brand new Pavilion. A fantastic event made extra special for me as it was only 20 minutes from home and being club Secretary, I had a role to play in it’s success. A National attracts the highest quality Golden Retrievers from all corners of Australia to compete, the 2022 event had a breed entry of 276 dogs.
We entered 10 dogs and are very proud to have 6 of them placed. My star for this huge event was BlueBreeze Bitcoin Millionaire “Gamble” who won 1st place in Baby Puppy Sweepstakes under breed specialist Mrs B Hession (NSW) of “Goldtreve Kennels”. In the breed ring under breed specialist Mrs F Clarkson (Scotland) of “Drumkilty Kennels” he won Baby Puppy dog class and finished with Best Opposite Baby Puppy In show!!
